SPAM

Post by JHarold »

Hormel made their first batch of Spam in 1937.
The company just announced that due to hoarding by consumers,
they are going to make a second batch!

that's hilarious. I like spam a lot. It's a little heavy on the salt, but that's why it lasts forever isn't it?

I bought the 25% less sodium spam. Its really good. Have you, or anyone else had the "Tocino" flavored Spam? Todd/3leg

SPAM is the reason God made coyotes.

However, I must admit, once in Vietnam I walked into an Army mess tent at Camp Evans, all they had left were SPAM slices and some bread. I hadn't eaten for about 24 hours or so, the sammich was pretty darn good.

SPAM ......

did you know that today is National Haiku Day !!
https://nationaldaycalendar.com/days-2/ ... -april-17/

SO, in honor of that, write some SPAMku !!!
for example .....

Empathize with them
Cut your finger on SPAM top
Pigs must feel that too

I envision a
world where all mankind shares SPAM
and none go without.

Heart attacks for sale!
Available at grocers!
Better known as SPAM!

Pink porcine passion
Unzip the can, give it here
Wham! Bam! Thank you SPAM!

------------------------------------------------------------

and should you care to do Graduate Work, here are the archives .....

http://web.mit.edu/jync/www/spam/archive.html

Enjoy !!!

While I wouldn't want to have Spam every day, a Spam sandwich on fresh Bunny bread with Duke's mayonnaise and a sliced homegrown tomato is pretty dang good.

Also, fried Spam with scrambled eggs and grits and tomato gravy is a fine breakfast every once in a while.... :)

There's a great quote by General Eisenhower when he met the president of Hormel after WWII. " We appreciate your efforts, but did you have to send so much?".

I grew up on that stuff, it was something easy for a working mom to do after a long day. I do like the Less Sodium version better. Still have three cases on hand.
