That's a neat design Lenn!

I'll bet my 'ol grandmother would have loved that chair (my dad was as old as my schoolmate's grandfathers when I was born, making my grandmother that much older).

Nice job!

Cool. My Grandmother had a treadle sewing machine, and she used it until she was in hr early eighties. Arthritis got to her.

Now I know what to do with a sewing machine that we've been storing for 20 years. Good job Lenn.

My grandma had one, I used to like to peddle it just to see it work. She used it to sew when I was growing up.
She also came to Oregon from California on a covered wagon from Susanville CA when she was a small girl with
her parents who came to homestead near the Siuslaw river in Western Oregon. Her parents brought "gifts" for
the Klamath Indians because they were known to rob the wagons coming through unless they had something to
give them.

Cool chair - almost looks like a throne! 8)

The cobbler I use still uses a treadle sewing machine.
Gives him lots of control over what he's doing and
how fast he's doing it.

That's a Winner for sure... now, what will you do with the treadle function? That could be hooked up in some interesting ways . . . :D
