What About That Stimulus Check?

Post by Blaine »

Well, I certainly don't need it, but I think I'll pick a locally owned Mom & Pop store and spend it on something...If everybody just squirrels it away, it won't stimulate "pelosi"....
I wonder if that's going to be reportable income?

I aint holding my breath until the cheque in my hot little hands, then I'll decide what to do with it. Have a few wanted, I mean needed tools for the woodshop....

Well it will be welcome around here. It will make a couple mortgage payments! I just got laid off this morning. Corporate budget cuts, due to the downturn in business. Our corporate office thinks our GM can run all my jobs. They're going to learn the hard way!

No worries though. By 2:00 this afternoon, I have enough carpentry work lined up for a month. :D

If you have not filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return you must file to receive the money. You must also then go to a portal and enter bank info. I think I got that right.

Why is it I strongly expect folks like me won't get one red cent. In fact, we are likely to end up paying higher taxes. I doubt the politicians want to stimulate the economy ( especially the democrats). Mostly I figure they are trying to buy votes in the upcoming election.

I think there is a misunderstanding here. That money is only for buying democrap votes. And I've never met anyone around this fire crass enough to do that! :!:

I just sent an 1894 Winchester octagon barreled rifle in .32-40 to John Taylor up in Puyallup, WA for a barrel reline in the same caliber. If that stimulus check does come through it will cover the $500 cost. :D

It would be awesome if all Republicans sent it to a fund to build the border wall! Dems would have a melt down.🤣

That sounds good. Problem is that all the panic buyers have bought them. I think I will buy some ammunition on line. If I get non-FMJ 5.56 I can use it the range when all of this is over.

For two trillion they could have easily given every adult a million dollars .That would make the economy buzz .But if they did that the elite would only get 1 trillion 999 thousand billion.

At first I thought "new gun!", but second thought was "I'll believe it when I have the check in my hand". But, I'll probably have an unselfish moment and give it to our Church. Our Church keeps a large pantry stocked with food and essentials that are given to anyone in need (and occasional monetary help), but a local small business? I'll have to thing on that. Maybe get a $200.00 hair cut when she opens again?

I kinda want a couple Parker VH/VHE 20’s . One with 26” barrel and another that’s 30” . That check would be a nice down payment on one of them .
Parkers , Mannlicher Schoenauer’s , 6.5mm's and my family in the Philippines !
