I am probably more City Slicker than most here, but those are all simple tasks.

I know a very intelligent physician who has accomplished many things in his field, who didn't know what to do when the red "oil" light came on in his vehicle. He knew it meant the oil was low, but had no clue how to check it or what to do if it was low.

His explanation - why should he bother knowing something he could easily pay someone else to do for him. I get it, sort of, but SOME things seem so basic, essential, and actually sort of 'fun'.

Now having said that, I will NEVER learn how to hang wallpaper.....!!!

To hang wallpaper, first create the biggest mess you can. That way, anything you do will not look any worse.

One of my wife's co-workers is having her mother home school the kids while they are off. She starts off every day with the pledge of allegiance and the Star Bangled Banner.

I hear ya, Doc!

Wallpaper is EVIL. And the whole mess is made so much worse by the fact that NO HOUSE
EVER BUILT is square and plumb.
