my 1st gun accident!

Post by JNG »

Well at 65 yrs I had my 1st gun accident.
The .410 I had posted here, my Grandson (22yrs old) fell in love with it.
I took it out of my safe, moved my 30-30 out of the way and then bumped the safe door!
30-30 fell and the receiver fell and broke my little and next toe.
Call the antis!!! Even unloaded guns are unsafe.
P.S.
Since I was the sailor, I guess I cussed like one. Wife unhappy.

Is the gun OK?

:o
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

I have firearms I'd rather have break my toes than hit the floor. Bones heal, stupidity marks don't.

LOL - but don't you know - those Williams are made of that wimpy new-fangled ALUMINUM; not genuine steel, like them Lymans... (I know guys who refuse to mount Williams FP's on even NEW guns - I could sort of see the 'vintage' issue if you have a same-era Lyman to use instead - because the Lymans are 'stronger'....The Lymans are marvels of engineering, and certainly well-made, but I've not seen any that are all that much functionally different than the Williams versions.)

Glad all is ok, and hopefully the wife won't be too hard on you for the verbal violation... :D

Must be something in the wind today. I was moving some stuff around and dropped my Colt National Match! It landed on my shoe, so no damage but that's enough to make you break out in a cold sweat. Don't think I've ever done something like that before.
