Old Logging Camp Cemetary
About fifteen years ago a hunting buddy and I happened across this early 1900s Japanese cemetary deep in the woods off an old logging road in western Washington. They had come over to work in the logging camps.
Yesterday I went to see if I could find it again.
It's still nicely taken care of, and gifts of money, little tea sets, sake, and even a can of PBR can be seen.
Might be haunted by an old soul or two as the dog was really acting up and didn't want to be there.

Blaine, that's awful sweet. I am one of the dinosaurs who believe in honoring and remembering our dead.

Dogs know stuff. I wouldn't be ignoring signs from one of them.

+1
interesting cemetery though.
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.
Re: Old Logging Camp Cemetary
As long as I have shown respect for those buried there, I never had an issue at a cemetery. I worked for the Parks and Recreation Department in my Home Town back when I was a teenager. We had to help with the cemetery before the holidays to make it look nice, and to clean it up after. I was always respectful and aware that we were mowing over peoples graves. No, I do not know if there were any spirits still hanging around.

I have never had a problem with the dead. I can't say that about the living.

I bet we would be surprised at home many of these are scattered around the country side.

It looks like the flowers and other things left are around the perimeter, as if those leaving them weren't sure where the remains are buried? Are there no headstones or markers for individual graves?
I always respect the graves in cemeteries, and try to never walk across a grave out of respect. I see people just walking haphazardly through the graves and it irritates me to see the lack of respect.

There were a few small stone markers and crosses. I wouldn't enter the gate because, like you said, you can't tell exactly where they are buried.marlinman93 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2020 11:22 am It looks like the flowers and other things left are around the perimeter, as if those leaving them weren't sure where the remains are buried?
