Knives of Alaska

Post by piller »

Today my son and I got a tour of the facility at Knives of Alaska/Diamondblade Knives. Very, very cool. I have a couple of their knives. Great quality and they hold their edge well on cardboard. Customer service is great in my opinion. I have not had my Diamondblade knife long enough to find out if it lives up to the claims. I am looking forward to finding out. Has anyone on here had experience with them?

many moons ago i ordered an ulu - brown bear - jaeger set from cabelas with my club points......they sent me a $40 outdoor edge butchering set instead.....

their mistake saved me $160 in club points and the outdoor edge set has been quite useful but i really wanted the alaska ones.....

Piller,
My son has one and back in '15 he got to test it on an elk. He's telling me, holding an '86 in one hand and the knife in another...."hey dad, get to test this Knives of Alaska out today." I said "good, you get bloody..ill.watch". It worked and when we packed camp and went home we skinned it out and cut up the elk using the knife and a few others.....don't recall it needing a freshening up. It was the "skinner model". ....I think......he paid around a hundred for it back in '10---6
