Self Defense Shooting

Post by JimT »

I was sitting at my desk, typing when I was attacked from behind unexpectedly.
That's how these things start. The attacker always has the advantage.
I was whacked in the head a couple times as I jumped up and grabbed my gun.
The attacker retreated, then came back and landed on the window sill.
I fired a shot that blew him to the wall. He lay there kicking. I fired another shot and finished him off.
It was satisfying.

I hope you at least tried not to shoot the fly in the face or eyes.

Are you going to mount him and hang him over the mantle? I only mention it because it takes a lot of them to make any sort of a meal.

You need to mount it, you know a straight pin at the base of the neck, then display on a cork board. With time and due diligence you could end up with a grand slam.

I love mine. You'd be amazed what it will do to spiders. The wife will even use it on those. She likes to take it out in the evening and clear the grounds. Skeeters are also a target of opportunity.

Yep, got one of those, too.

Sadly I probably have more trigger time on it than any thing else around here. :(

Those things are so much fun you'll be leaving the doors open to let them in.

They are lots of fun. My son probably has killed enough flies to fill a couple of gallon milk jugs. Our dogs like to hold the dog door open and watch flies come in.

I know the hot-shots out west a hundred or so years ago would carve 'notches' in their weapons indicating the number of kills....is that what the seven flies on the side of the weapon signify...?

They now have a 3.0 version out that has a better trigger and shoots a tighter pattern. I have the 2.0 and it works fine, but I can see room for improvement.

They just put those out at Farm and Home, I been eyeballing 'em. May have to pull the trigger. I don't see a mount for a red dot though.

I bought one of those when my Son was about 8. He played with it until he could hit what he wants. For the next several evenings at dark, he would turn on the porch light and engage targets of opportunity! He would even salt his food before he arrived at the table! HaHa MK
