Christmas in Pemba, Mozambique

Post by JimT »

Every Christmas the Iris base in Pemba, Mozambique feeds all the children who show up at the gate. The smallest group I have seen was over 4000. They get a meal of chicken and rice, cole slaw, a soft drink and some candy. I received these photos this morning from a friend who is there helping feed the children. This is an all day project. I sometimes wonder how long it took Jesus and his helpers to feed the thousands. It looks like a large crowd this year ...

The greatest gifts are to be needed and to feel loved. Looks like the best kind of gift giving.

I would be overwhelmed to see that many hungry mouths, you must know some truly dedicated people. I hope they all enjoyed their Christmas day.... :D
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.
