Henry Axe ...... new player in the 410 personal defense shotgun market

I have a buddy who carries a Taurus Judge as a self defense firearm. He was looking for a companion. This might be it for him.

I think I would be inclined to SBS it with a stock and use it as a hiking rifle if I bought one.

I think I'm up for one of those. Be a hoot chasing red squirrels around the cabin.

Liking this spurt of innovation from Henry lately. Not that a sidegate is innovative, but it it is a bold, aggressive step. Now this, too. I can vibe.

It looks like fun. Rattlesnakes might want to stay far away.

The 410 personal defense firearm is quite funny. It exists due to pre-Bolsinaro (current President of Brazil) firearms regulations in Brazil which made a 410 smoothbore handgun one of the few legal options for defense. The Taurus "Judge" is a reference to the use of such firearms by the Brazilian judiciary, they being frequent victims of both criminal and political violence. The fact that we now have an entire firearms segment in the US built around irrelevant Brazilian firearms restrictions is amusing. That handguns so chambered have to be rifled due to our firearms restrictions , thereby making shot patterns even less effective is all the more amusing.

I wouldn't want one of these "Axes" if it were given to me. at least the "Axe" is a smoothbore and may generate decent patterns beyond 10 feet. Nevertheless, I like Henry getting in on the game. Other people seem to like this sort of thing. Hope Henry makes a few dollars.
