12-3-19 Morning out !!

Post by 6pt-sika »

Got out this AM and set up a good thirty minutes before legal shooting time . Carried my unblooded 6mm-06 loaded with Berger 115 VLD handloads and also gingerly brought along my circa 1904 Parker VH 28 gauge loaded with a hand cast Handloaded slug in the right barrel and hadoaded#1 buck in the left barrel . No deer seen , did see four big hen turkey and a pile of tree rats .

How do you keep those shiny brass shells from sliding down the barrels ? Nice shotgun.

The 28 was in a gun sock until everything was situated up the tree and went back in it before I started back down . I know I have a 20 gauge on the same size frame but this little 28 sure seems more tiny if that’s possible :!: I have a 16 also on the 0 frame but I swear they seem different , true the barrels are different in diameter but it seems like more than just that .
