I have never understood the fascination with the bullpup design. It's what make the world go around I guess. I just never understood it. The idea of everything that is happening inside the cartridge .. inside the chamber .. inside the barrel .. in the mechanism .... right next to your head! Nope. No thanks. I will take my chances with it all out in front of me. Especially in a firearm that is intended to be used in the worst of conditions.

But then ... some people love the Prius.
Who am i to judge?

For me though ... no thank you.

I get JimT's view. I never could see the scout rifle idea with the scope out on the barrel or a stock mounted peep sight next to your eye. But to each his own. As a judge remarked in a seminar, "It is still a semi free country.".

What did I miss? I didn't see a bullpup rifle design in either of the first two posts? Both look like regular military assault rifle designs to me?
That said, I too don't care for a bullpup design, and the whole scout rifle thing with extended eye relief scopes and all that makes no sense to me either. Gimics to sell guns to people looking for an excuse to buy another "different" gun.
Pre WWI Marlins and Singleshot rifles!
