RWS Diana Handgun

Post by Blaine »

Silent...Very Accurate...Powerful...I couldn't be more pleased.
I thought it would be too heavy, but lots of the weight is behind the grips and it balances out very nicely. Kind of pricy, but it's a winner.

Neat …… for hunting, pest control or punching paper? .17, .20, or .22?

Just curious because I've been thinking about getting a air rifle and then maybe a pistol. Just something I have never gotten involved in and figure I should check it off the list to some extent.

I bet it's more powerful than the same model in the UK...

.177 pellet. Maybe 500 fps? I used to plink on public land around here, but now, they've clamped down on that. Last summer I got a Diana .22 pellet rifle. 900-ish fps, maybe a little less with pure lead pellets. A side lever. Just like shooting a good .22 rifle.
For now, I'm on the hunt for the wiley white rock, and discarded shotshells...and any crows or coyotes that get too close.

That sounds like the model 48. EXCELLENT pellet rifle. That would be my number one spring powered rifle recommendation. I do most of my squirrel hunting with air rifles.

mmm, looks a lot my German made .17 air pistol. I will get out of the safe and verify tomorrow as my are too tired to mess with the combo dial on the safe.
Before we moved to the country, I often shot it in the indoor air gun range of the Dallas Pistol Club. Very accurate and good practice for center fire pistols.
