Here's the tilt top I did a couple years ago.

Oak with orange shellac for that old antique look with top coat of polyurethane for wear resistance. The frame is all mortise and tenon, no glue, screws or nails. It knocks down if you ever move.

I took a couple pics, measurements from an antique original that a friend has. I normally do a prototype in pine, it's cheaper and I like knotty pine, then after getting the learning curve down I'll do one in hard wood to order. The oak table was for another friend, his brother milled the oak before his passing.

The seat part has tenons that hold the sides together.

I used to have a new Ridged planer but tore the pot metal gears out of it three times, i need something heavy duty to plane rough lumber.
This thing has a five HP motor on it and built tough.

Love the table Pard. Where'd you get them Harley cards? And the conversion is right at home there.

Hope you and Norma had a big bait of turkey. After I ate I went into a turkey induced coma for about a hour then woke up and ate a piece of pecan pie and a piece of buttermilk pie.
