30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Bob the atheist hunter who was out in the woods during deer season when suddenly a 1,000-pound non-typical whitetail deer stepped out.

"Good God!" exclaimed the awed hunter.

Suddenly a voice from Heaven said, "I thought you don't believe in me."

Bob replied, "Up until now I didn't believe in 1,000-pound deer either."
