Sad News From My Friends In Africa

Post by JimT »

Some of you are aware of my friend Catarina in Africa, and that Ie have been helping her. During the cyclone that hit Mozambique she became very ill. I had some friends search for her and finally found her, got her into a clinic and she was beginning to recover. I was helping her with food etc. and we had high hopes .. but yesterday she passed away. It makes me sad but I am sure she is having a grand reunion with my wife. Heaven may be happier but it's sadder here on earth.

Sounds like a beautiful person. Prayers of thanks you got to know and work with her. Prayers of healing the empty spot she leaves behind.

My condolences Jim.
Sad news is always worse when you are far away, I'm sure she appreciated your help and friendship.

I'm sorry to hear. The constant cost of living is losing friends and family. I don't know what exactly the afterlife entails but I hope it includes a reunion with the ones we lost and eventually the ones we left behind.

Some people bring happiness with them wherever they go. Others leave happiness behind them when they go. Be the first kind. It sounds as she was the first kind.

Heal quickly brother. I often have a hard time explaining my feelings when we lose someone; sad for us here, but happy knowing where they are now, but I remember; "To be absent from the body and in the presence of the Lord"...
