Rossi vs Winchester parts - Model 92

Post by AJMD429 »

Does anyone here know (I'm betting NKJ does  ) whether the threads on the Rossi 'Lever Pin Stop Screw' are the same as on a Winchester. The latter part will be much easier to locate, but I wondered if the threads are metric or somehow not the same as the Winchester ones.

Someone evidently broke into my house and took one out of one of my Rossi rifles; they didn't touch a thing otherwise, but it had to be a burglar because no way I would ever misplace a little screw. :D

I got a quick-detach scope mount that uses that hole for mounting so the screw got separated from the gun... :(

I've never gauged them but I do know they are different.

BTW - Nate "Kiowa" Jones (the poster just before yours) IS Steve, of www.stevesgunz.com.

Doc AJ: AFAIK, the Rossi uses metric screws throughout.

I didn't see the screws on Steve's site....

But next day off I'll email and see if he's got em. 8)

I've bought several items from him and all were too quality. I love the button to replace the terrible 'safety' on the Rossi.
