A Curio and Relic firearm I might want to get....

...especially since the regulations are less stringent....

Here's a writeup of it - https://youtu.be/Jowv167KdbM

Doc....you don't want that for shooting....SP-1's are notoriously inaccurate as they have the slow twist. Even with 55's they are nothing to brag about......now, for investing....maybe...only if it's a low number in excellent/new condition. I could have had #724 out of the Colt archives but turned it down and grabbed the two other Sporter 2's with the 1-7 twist with special finishes instead.---6

Actually I don't need another AR (....did I just say that.....??? :o )

But it will be fun to see the freak out from the left when they realize 'assault weapons' are antiques now...

In Basic in 1987 I had one of thoes without the fence and no forward assist. It was worn out.

My first AR upper is a pre-A1 slick side Colt that had the gas block pins misdrilled making it almost unuseable so it's like new. Really prefer the triangular hand guard.

I wouldn't mind having an A1 style AR15. I would put something on it to lengthen the stock by 1 inch so that it wouldn't bump my nose like it did in basic training. For varmint shooting, the old A1 style with its slower twist ratio was accurate with the 55 grain or lighter bullets. Of course, that is nothing new to anyone on this forum.
