Heading back 3/23/20

Post by 6pt-sika »

Tentatively it looks like I’ll be heading back to the Philippines March 23rd and returning April 22nd . And there’s a chance the boss may be coming to America when I return ! That’s up in the air but possible . It also looks like I’m gonna do Delta this trip . Dullus to Atlanta to Narita to Manila and when I return Manila to Seoul to Minneapolis to Dullus . Haven’t flown Dullus in five or six years since I got stuck in Detroit over night then in Tokyo for 26 hours , perhaps I’ll give them another try .

I wonder what it looks like now. Back then it was the largest U.S. Naval Support Base in the Pacific. The last time I was there was late June, 1974, 45 years ago.
Hmmm, feel kind of old now.

I went there and Clark because they “were” US bases . Had a friend that was in Subic in the early 80’s and my uncle was in Clark in the 50’s . I obviously didn’t see either when they were bases but certain structures give you the idea that they were most likely left over from the base .

Thanks ! The idea is to get over there to see the assembly at our little mans last day of school for his Pre K ! In the PI they have assembly on the last day or two and award kids in each grade .

Think the big ticket will be taken care of tomorrow . If the boss is able to come back with me I'll get her ticket later .

I don’t think my miles accumulate quick enough I typically only go once a year although in 2018 it was twice . This will be my thirteenth trip starting in 2008

Coming thru Minneapolis on the way home but the layovers only 2 1/2 hours and I’ll have to deal with customs there .
