We used an inexpensive app for our trip through Yellowstone. Yellowstone GyPSy. Six bucks well spent. History, geography, which sights not to miss... Well written script, great voice over, offline gps guided.
Highly recommend.
They have many driving audio apps.

Re: Driving trip audio app.
Cool, thanks!
Will do that if/when I get out that way.
Out here in the east, on the private auto road that goes to the summit of Mt. Washington, you can get a CD which talks you through the history of the road, the mountain, and the varying flora and fauna that change as you gain in elevation. But I especially liked the parts about the various "Race To The Tops" they have for old race cars, motor bikes or 4-wheelers!
Turns out a modified Suburu Rally Car holds the record:
Travis Pastrana crushed the Mt. Washington Hillclimb record reaching the 6,288’ summit in a stunning 5:44.72. The #199 WRX STI with a specially fitted 600hp engine actually beat the record two times, running a 5:46.28 on the first attempt up the twisty 7.4 mile race course. This is just shy of a twenty-five second gain on the old record of 6:09.09 held by Subaru Rally Team USA teammate, David Higgins, from 2014.
