I just pulled my sight up and it is marked WR on the receiver side. Is that the “good one?l”

Tom,
It's only good if it's mine...all others are contraband and subject to confiscation as per rule #6. The Board Police will be there to pick it up.

Yes, WR is the correct marking for model 21 Lyman sights for the 1895 Winchester.

You won page 45. I'm going to award you your own sight. Technically, it's mine, as per rule #6 but instead of relinquishing it to the Board Police, you can keep it. Just pay me $200 for the paper work. (Ain't it great in a socialist country?)

You interested in a 4 cavity LBT mould for the 40 S&W/38-40 180 gr. FP? I bought it new and may have cast 300 bullets with it and it's still like new.

Less than half of what it cost me.....excellent and a very accurate bullet in the 38-40. You do need a Lee factory crimp die to hold the bullet. I've use the Lyman 40 S&W bullet exclusively for the last 25 years...it's about the same design.

LBT is the s.... $60 + $10

Hey FW!
Yup, the WR is correct.
Man! Lots of action here today. I take a few minutes to fit an Ed Brown barrel into my old Springfield 1911 and look what's going on.
"Drop in" my shiney hiney! :D
I was supposed to send some pics to the guy with 95 today but I didn't. Maybe tomorrow. Have to get some more of the 95 too. I'm still kinda on the fence on the whole thing.
He may not want to do it either.

There's a whole lot more 38-55's than there is 30-40's, excluding the Krag....better cartridge too. I'd take a 30-40 anyday over the clunky 38-55. Those 220's will penetrate six wet paper bags and a bottle of Deer Park water.---6

Well, you want that mould?...screw Tom, he had his chance. :D (talk about two face)

I maybe getting a lot of moulds ready for sale...I'll post em to you guys first. :D

Yeah I know buddy. Plus, I ain't got a 95, but I have a good 38-55 rifle for each kid now. And, it's what Cody wants, so........
I will never sell them as I will give em to the kids so it really doesn't matter for the money.
Yeah! Keep me posted on molds. I need a 44 that will work in my 73. You sent me some before I still need to try.

All this talk about casting and I just remembered that I cut a cherry when I was in school, .452 for a 230+/- acp bullet. Only problem was we didn't know how to go about milling the mold... Oh well I learned how to file cutting edges!

The kitchen sharks are NOT happy this morning! No breakfast since Claro is going for X-rays and she needs to be under sedation no food.

I'm with ya on the helo crash, I don't care about pro ball players, over paid pre madonnas! They do nothing for society... Yes the others on the helo should be getting the same air time.

Just to prove what Jay?

I'm up!!!! By now Jay is home, Tom is on the road, and Gunny is most likely depleting his bank account at the vet. .....Griff and Old Savage are most likely in "Soft Stuff land", with Griff driving there and Old Savage doing the squeezing.......

Jay works????? They have jobs that far north? I thought everyone up there just sold cars on their lawns and used flintlocks to eat with. Geeze, I'm behind.....

Gunny cutting cherries?....yea, I've cut a few in my time too, mostly when I was younger....today, I'd be lucky to cut my way out of a wet paper bag.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? You either want it or you don't!!!!! I tell ya something boy, you better get a hold of yourself or that tough hombre from the north country is gonna slide right on in there and clean you OUT!!!! He just patented a new buffalo coat called the "M Spl" which means it specifically designed to hide MARLINS....and Lordy, he knows YOU have them, and probably some of mine too....

His "C Spl" is obsolete....he done wore out the pockets.

OK, enough of this mindless entertainment...got 40-82's to cast up.......this bullet was actually designed for the .405 but with my extreme innovation I was able to adapt it to the 40-82 for long range shooting with the 1-28 Express rifling......---

Code 1....this week...stay tuned...

Makers isn't one of my favorites but it serves its purpose!

I bought my 629 LNIB. Wasnt shot much, probably too much gun for the original owner! Of course the first thing I did was to remove the side plate and do an action job! Haven't shot it in years but I remember it was quite accurate with cast 240s.

I never owned or fired a post 64 until a couple years ago.
For a shooter, I don't mind them. I have 3 total spread from the late 60's till the mid 80s. All are pre crossbolt, one Angle Eject.
The one built in 77 is probably the best. The Angle Eject has pluses and minuses, but I had to get rid of the rebounding hammer. Hated that. I converted it.

Vet called me this morning, he does the surgery and wasnt there yesterday when she went for xrays. Anyhow I questioned him some and he gave me an honest answer- Go to Dr Collins, a different vet clinic because that doctor does a plate implant which is better for larger dogs and the fact that Claro is a field dog this will be a better outcome. Yeah if I had any Colts I'd be selling them to finance this!! So Feb 17th the Brown Wonder goes to see this Dr, maybe surgery same day. Now she will be the Bionic Brown Wonder!

That's what I call an honest vet.....rarer than an honest politician....or an honest gun seller......or an honest used car dealer....you have to wonder, how many of people selling their cars on the front lawn are honest.

Claro, the bionic dog....you need the get t shirts for dat.

My guess is your vet sees you as bread and butter and don't want to pizz you off......

I hear you buddy.
BUT......
It's one thing to go to the range on a nice day, take your rifle out of a case, shoot a bunch of rounds, then go home and clean it.
It's another to put said $1500 rifle on a four wheeler and plow through alders, leave it in a scabbard in a Jeep for weeks at a time, or lug it around the woods in snow and rain.
I hunt with my old guns on nice days and shoot them at the range. But for harder field use, I use less valuable stuff.
I guess calling them "shooters" is a bit if a misnomer. "Users" would be a more apt name.

Ok..I'll agree..."users" is a better term to use if your justifying using a junker......

Let me ask you this...your going to the National Silhouette Championship of which the best in the nation will be there.....also....you know in your mind that you will be lucky to even finish the match let along placing at the bottom where you will be happy accomplishing..........

Each day there will be 80 shots that require extreme focus...it wears you out...for real.....I'm only good for first 2 hours or so. At the big matches confidence is lowered and your worrying about not making an azz out of yourself.

There's people from all over so you HAVE to watch your stuff or it will grow legs.

Everything costs you money, even a bag of chips.

There's not a lot to be happy about...that's why the champions always look miserable and are non talkable.

I like to be 😊 happy and will not go home miserable.

Which guns do you bring.......Users....or....dressed to impress? :D ---6

Being a competitive shooter since age 13 I've learned that the only score that matters is mine & mine alone.
It's TRUE competition wears you out. After a 200 bird match my eyes are sore- if that makes sense. I shoot with a great bunch, we bust on each other, eat like kings, swap stories.
My cell phone just rang, good old Tom returning my text - he's a good man that Tom! Best part is he doesn't have a buffalo coat  ( sorry Jay I couldn't help myself)
Jack I sure hope you can keep your head together, shoot a great score and I'll take a Large tshirt! :D

My wife saw it but I didn't until now......GREAT......look at the people AND Oprah agreeing with him.....now, all of a sudden Donald's bad. I've always believed this guy is the greatest POTUS since TR..and maybe better.....he certainly smarter....

In serious competition, one that you want to do good at, along with large expenditures of cash, it makes zero sense to have yourself only as a competitor....sorry Gunny...... :D I play to WIN. I USED to be good, not great at levergun Silhouette and am not bad at metallic sight handgun Silhouette ......very good at the local level, decent at the state level, and well, I'm still trying to figure out where I fit in the national level, probably low rung but I'm striving to win.

Watching some of the greats in Pennsylvania, I have zero chance..I know that...these guys can hold like a rock in all disciplines....Al Faust, Brian Wakefield, Al Bean, the Zeke brothers....and many others.....these guys are super duper good..world class and I ain't a pimple on their azz....

Most guys who want to do good usually will at the local level.....90% of guys go for the fun of it or like a Gunny says, to compete against themselves which is a good thing and keeps your mental attitude high. In handgun Silhouette I go to win and the rest of the matches I go to tell off color jokes and to make fun of people.

Guys who are master class shooters usually don't look like happy people...they seldom smile, crack jokes and stay to themselves. I'm a total f.o.except....when I want to win.

People don't remember who came in second.

Copy dat on da shirt......
