Wabbit hunt.
The owner of this land would wish every rabbit was destroyed so I let him hear me booming away in the hope he believes every boom is a dead bunny.
However not every shot connects when using a smooth rifle!
Anyway I did ok and the meat is not going to waste.

Well done with the Kentucky, I miss mine but boy did those round balls ricochet.

If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

Nath, know what I learned about the snowshoe hare that hung around me this winter. He eats yellow snow! Only reason i can think of is he needs the salt... Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Hmm that sure looks like fun- blasting wrascly wabbits with a front loader! I've got the perfect rifle for it too,a T/C Cherokee.32. I tried it on tree rats but was a bit overkill if not shot in the brainpan.

Re: Wabbit hunt.
I was never allowed to head shoot "tree rats" as my Daddy liked the brains so I learned to skin the heads and to eat them myself. The tongue tastes like hickory nuts. Both my parents survived the great depression and I was born right at the end of it. It made people with different attitudes. Funny what being hungry does to a person's appetite. When I first started muzzle loading I had a Lyman 50 cal. 1 in 48 twist was too fast for round balls and too slow for bullets but would kill squirrels if loaded with 40 grains ffg and a tightly patched round ball.
Great seeing you and Jess Nath.
