Diana Mauser 98 air rifle

Post by barbarossa »

Thinking on getting an airgun for backyard plinking and came across this

Image
177cal at 1000fps or 22cal at 850 .Its basically a Diana 460 with the military style stock

I think it would be, a fun gun to play with

I also found this aGeco model 28 in excellent condition for close to the same price .Now I have a decision to make :|

I like the Geco! Looks a lot like my Yugo M-56 and it's a real tack driver. :D

I like the Geco also. I've shot one of the Diana Mausers---they definitely could work a person if you shoot them fifty shots or so---they are not bad to cock but require some effort. I have a friend who has one and he broke a plastic part on it---I'm not sure what the part does---I didn't ask, but he is having trouble getting just the part without returning the rifle----I'm not sure if the part breaking is a common issue or just a one off.

I have a side lever Diana and it's of the very highest quality. Fine German craftsmanship. A bit on the heavy side, and like someone mentioned, a bit of a bear to cock.
