Hi folks,
Anyone had any luck putting a shorter front sight on their Chiappa / Taylor's Alaskan?
Mine is shooting rather low eveb with the rear peep cranked right up.
Thanks in advance,
Scrummy

Re: Chiappa / Taylor's front sights
Just a regular dovetail? If so, should be no problem. My SOP is to replace my fronts of any newly acquired rifle with green fiber optic so I can see the danged things with these old eyes. Pound them out left to right, figure on needing to file down the replacement because they always build them slightly oversized so you can fit them.

Thanks Earl. The rifle has a red fibre optic on it that I like so don't want to file the frontsight down.
Who does mail order for these things?

Earl,
Just thought |I'd let you know found someone selling short Williams Fire Sights, bought a shorter one and hopefully testing out on Friday coming!
Note to self, buy ammo!
