Bingo jb, not sure if it`s going to work out doors if i put a inch of water in it from a factory rain gauge it reads one inch.
But the soup can is bigger diameter so it might collect more water than it should ?
Snow storm coming tomorrow so won`t be able to try it out for a while yet.

I knew it was a rain gauge too... but once again work got in the way of my fun.

Hope it melts quickly, Lenn.
We topped 90 here yesterday for the first time in 2019, and we are looking at high winds, blowing dust and critical red flag fire danger today.

Pitchy if you set that can and a 55g drum next to a ten thousand gallon tank and it rains an inch, all three will have an inch of rain in it. I think what you have THERE is a SNOW gauge 8)
