Update - Looking for old style Marlin 1894 ejector

Post by Bruce in WV »

I'm working through some issues on a frankengun I just traded into. The toughest issue is getting a replacement ejector for the old style ejector (1969-1978) to put in my parts box for JIC need when at the cabin where this gun will live.
This is one of the REM transition guns, with the REP markings and a Mar 2012 date stamp. It has a new Rem barrel, but an older non-safety action. Its used and has had some internal work done by somebody who knew what he was doing. Pretty smooth action that will improve when I replace the extractor with a new Ranger Precision extractor, and its done.

I would appreciate any help finding a NOS or exc cond used ejector. Thanks!

Pictures of the current ejector and the ejector slot in the receiver are at this link: scroll down to see all 3. They are completely different than the post-1978 style.

Try gun parts Corp. That ejector slot will take a lot older ejector than 1969 also . It is very similar to the one in my 1920’s model 93.

Wisners shows a redesigned part (314168) that replaces the original design in the 1894 magnum - currently out of stock - (http://www.wisnersinc.com/wp-content/up ... 314168.jpg). it is much beefier.

Question: has anybody tried one of these in the old style rifle?
