Made these three wood pulleys, will be using them with the hay trolleys. :)

If you lubricate them really well, they should work fine.

Thanks Gunny, yep turned them on the lathe.
I`ve been looking for a Starline pulley for a couple weeks, it used to hang on a oak tree branch for years well Norma found it under the snow today so we`ll restore it tomorrow. 8)

Thanks fellers, right now i`m using them on the hay trolleys.
Grizz i`ve been using Shellac on things of late, leaves a shiny finish and drys fast. :)

Built to last, and made to be repaired if needed was the best way. Throw away junk is not worth it when heavy or hard use is necessary. Those all look great.

Made a couple more today, everything oak but one pulley is pine.
Bad enough hip is bad and can hardly walk so i dropped a 2x6 on my big toe on the same leg. :roll:

Not quite there yet.

Those pulleys would be good deer hangers. For anything bigger, you might have to make a compound setup.
