3 Lynx on Snowy Maine Road (video)

Post by Old No7 »

Below is a still image grabbed from this really awesome Video of 3 Lynx Crossing a Snowy Maine Road (click for link) that is now making its rounds on the web.

Boy, seeing just one Lynx on a bright sunny day would be something -- but to see THREE! Wow! :!:

.

That's pretty neat - aren't they protected in Maine ?

I've heard a few over the years, while hunting - but have never laid eyes on one in the wild.

Cell phones have been a bonus in that regard.

Thanks!
We supposedly have them in the Cascades and foothills, but I've never seen one. We're rife with cougars, bears, and bobcats, too, but never seen one of those either. Probably because I buy tags for them. :P

Blaine,
Good point on the tags. The critters must have a spy in the license folk.

I heard one back in about 1964 here in southern Indiana, and saw one maybe 6 months later. None since then, but as I understand it they are back in this area.
