I am in Tucson visiting Paco

Got in today before noon. Happy to be in warm, sunny weather and enjoying the company of a dear friend. It was great to find out his eye surgery finally worked out OK and he can see the sights again!! We are catching up on the past year or so and looking at guns and talking about who's doing what with whom. I will try to post some pictures later in the week.

Warm? Sun? Even SC has been cold and wet for the last 3 weeks!

It was 68 degrees (F) here at 7PM .... supposed to be in the mid 80's tomorrow.

Driving out of Texas I was in freezing conditions all the way across until about 100 miles from El Paso. Finally broke out of the cloud cover and started getting into warmer weather.

It is still cool (below freezing ) here in north Texas, but should warm up by this weekend - just in time for some exotic shooting down at Hondo ranch. Looks like bison or Watusi for a freezer full of good meat.

Paco said "My answer is I am gettin' old!" He will be 81 in September. When I arrived at his house this morning he was in his shop, making some of his bullet tools. Later today we were in a store and he took time to pray for a lady who was having some physical problems. We went out to dinner tonight and he was chipper enough to banter a bit with a cute waitress and compliment a mom on her pretty baby.

Today we showed each other some guns ... some I brought with me and some he dug out of his safe.

He's slowing down. So am I.

But it's OK.

It is good to hear that his eyes are better. Age is one of those troubles which get to us all. Meet it with a smile and refuse to let it worry you.
