Java......

Post by Ray »

I brew coffee by the gallon so I got a lot of those blue cans and red plastic tubs that come in quite handy for storing gunny stuff......

I was looking for the one with the mutton tallow patch/bullet lube when it rattled. Inside was a .380 revolver.

I kid you not.

A honest to goodness .380 acp revolver.

A Taurus .380 Ultalite to be exact.

Uses clips for extraction but works with most ammo without the clips.

Since it headspaces on the mouth without the clips, some ammo can be too short.

Double action only.... it has an atrociously heavy but smooth trigger pull.

Did it come inside the can with the coffee, like an adult McDonald's toy...… ? . ;)

Yep !

a week ago I rediscovered a ruger gp100.....

and two weeks before that, a '80s era c.v.a./jukar derringer.

About old guns, I'm like the goofy private detective with amnesia who had to play a tape every morning to remind himself who he was.

I used to have one of those Taurus. 380 revolvers.
It was surprisingly snappy
