So a blunderbuss loaded with under wires could be an effective home defense load.. :?
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

Doc,
That was an interesting story and the medical personnel that saved her life deserve a big "atta boy".

However, I am curious about how and why she was shot in the first place. Any mention of that?

GK I recall some specialty 12g loaded with pairs of buck pellets strung with a wire. :shock: ouch!

Ouch is right! Just like the "ball and chain" shot as used on naval ships to tear down the masts or rigging -- and the sailors too :shock: -- back in the day.
