But came across this today after getting my Dillon back up and running. I was making some .38 SPLs for My Marlin CST when I came across this case. It wouldn't
fit into the sizing die and I thought I'd gotten a wrong case in my .38 SPL bin. Haven't seen one of these head stamps before. Thought some of you may have.
Dillon RL 550 is back and they really worked it over and replaced the whole primer feed system with new large and small primer accessories.
Really enjoying the CST, shoots great and feeds everything.

Re: Needed a break
Yeah, it was made for the S&W .38 HD, just hadn't come across a case specifically marked for one.
It probally would have gone into the resizer but I didn't want to force it.

Re: Needed a break
I've got some loaded rounds here ...from the thirties....been meaning to chronograph one for the last 40 years.....nothing more than a 38 Spl. case loaded to around 1000 or 1100 intended for the model 20 which is the n frame ...or today's 44 cal.smith 29. Started out as the triplelock after the turn of the century.
Dang...this is a great reminder to do that....thanks Jason...now I'll be digging through piles of pelosi to find them.....Six

Re: Needed a break
I've got a few of those Empty Cases. Local gun store had them and showed them to me, asking what they were a couple years back, then gave them to me.
The April 2019 edition of GUNS magazine has an article. "The .357 Magnum Saga" that summarizes the development of the round, and includes the .38-44 in the timeline.
One of these days I'm going to fix me up a cartridge board. Not sure where I will have a place to hang it
