Was Shot Show a little subdued this year?

Post by wm »

Is it just me or was Shot Show a little subdued this year? It didn't seem like we gotten any breathless, 'this will change everything' announcements of new products. I'm okay with that but I did not find myself rolling my eyes and going whatever at all this year.

The updated Hi Point, 350 Winchester, re-intro of the COlt King Cobra, Mossberg 9mm, Brownells retro line AR180 and …… well that's about it. Not much in terms of big roll outs. I honestly expected with numerous states rolling back the prohibitions on auto knives there would be a lot of those talked about. Maybe Blade show.

Boge Quinn mentioned this in his Gunblast video on why he and Jeff weren't attending this year.
It may be partly because key segments of the firearms market are flooded. Look at how the prices have plunged on the various ARs.

I did not hear a single shot this year, I guess it must have been all show.

Perhaps the ubiquitous nature of the internet has made the concept of doing "BIG REVEALS" at an annual trade show obsolete ????
