Photos of Fine Guns

Post by JimT »

Looking at the guns being introduced as "new" and "revolutionary" I was inspired to post photos of some fine guns. These are not inclusive of all fine guns, obviously. But they sure beat what is being sold to the public as "great" guns these days.

All photos are by John Taffin.

Thank you, SIr.

Not an ugly one in the bunch. It would be a lot of fun to shoot any one of those pistols. If they are all ones that Taffin owns, he is a fortunate man.

Quite a few are his ... some are owned by other people and he took the photos for articles or a book.

I think the Colt in .38-40 is a particularly dandy sixgun -- and oh, that 1876 in .45-75. 8)
Thanks for posting Jim. Hope your old friend John is well.

Wow! I'll be daydreaming of shooting Colts and Winchesters and other great guns for the rest of the day.

Thanks JimT for posting those pics. Sigh ... they sure don't make ost of them like that anymore.

Wow! How many of those left handed SAAs does John have? Or should I call them right handed since many think the Colts were designed by a lefty? I really like that Bisley too.
