Forgive the Phillips screw i only had three brass screws, it`s four inch in dia. :)

Hey that's great! I saw something the other day about the poles are moving FASTER than normal. So if you get up tomorrow morning and N has become S dont panic ! Oh and welcome to the southern hemisphere! :lol:

Nice Pitchy, but for sheer cool the first one takes the cake. I could just see one of the Grandkids rootin thru My hunting gear in 20 years and the look on their face when they figured out what it was. :) .

Hey Lenn, good buddy -- at least you put the Phillips up "North" and you "timed" the other two screws to the outer rim. To me, those little details show an extra level of thought and craftsmanship -- but hey, that's what you do best! :wink:

I like this one the best. But remember I thought the first one was a level😳 I KNOW this is a compass. What is the fluid? Compass oil???

nice. one of the viking secret weapons was a magnetized needle compass. needle sat on a thin wafer or chip of wood, floating on a pot of water. got them to where they were going.

their other secret weapon is even more interesting than their compass .....

Thanks guys, no fluid in it but seems to work fine ya have to put a bell of sorts on the bottom of the needle so it can`t fall off the post. :)
I have one more design i want to make ,a compass sun dial combo.

Polar shift. There is a school of thought that the poles have swapped ends at least once. Possible cause of climate change? If it does happen again i’m Sure the freaks will somehow blame it on man’s presence.

One of these days God is going to slap this corrupt world down in hopes it changes its ways.
