Nice! Hopefully it will perform up to what it looks like it should.

Beautiful. That’s a rifle that you can enjoy to simply hold and stare at whether you see any deer or not!
Please post pictures next fall when you have it afield.
Absolutely beautiful.

Wow, words escape me, woud love to hold and examine it. Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

Color me a little envious. Actually very envious.

I look forward to hearing more

A couple years ago I saw two different milsurp Steyr M95s that had been sporterized (one to a 45/70 and the other to 33 Winchester) and have been thinking for many years now that I would like to do one as well to 30 WCF or 32 WCF or 7/30 Waters or 25-35. I've read about people doing 30-40 Krag, 7.62X54Rmm and 303 Brit as well.

Unfortunately I only bought one of the little M95 in 8X56Rmm back when they were sub $100 and I want to keep it stock. I have faith that one day I will come across a screaming good deal on a project rifle to pursue this.
