The original owner of Alessi Holsters passed away, and now someone has apparently hijacked his name and is collecting $$$, but not delivering product.

Well that stinks.
I guess I have a 'collectible' then, since I have a 1980's vintage one that is a nice rig.
I'll not order another though, if this is the case.

Sad to have the original owner's reputation tarnished by a thief. Hope they catch up to this thief and prosecute him to the fullest!
But it does seem that from reading the posts this might be his daughter and son in law now running the company, and the "weasel" is gone? So not sure if things are the same, better, or what?

Weird because I see them on Brownells website so they must be churning out some.

On the other hand Cylinder & Slide shop has a few but are out of stock on many of the more popular ones.

It seems like every couple of years someone takes over a well respected company and does this. A couple years ago it was a Tyler grip adapters and trigger shoes. The family had to take the company back and work night and day to make things right with a bunch of customers that were mistreated or out right scammed by the man they sold the company to.

Two former Alessi employees/apprentices, with the surnames of Ritchie and Ralston, seem to be doing quality work. Mr. Ralston, IIRC, does business as 5Shot Leather, or something like that. I have not personally seen or handled one of these.
One of my ankle rigs, used on duty for a while, was a Ritchie, for a G26, and seemd to be as good as any Alessi ankle rigs from the days when Lou Alessi was in charge.
