The funny thing about this method is you often call in something you didn't expect..... :wink:

I locate squirrels by kissing my finger the same way, but a bit faster, to get that "chuck-chuck" sound squills make.

No longer legal in Missouri, in my Dad's day the surest way to get a rabbit out of a den was to put a ferret down the hole.

He raised ferrets for rabbit hunting and ratting.

That is still legal over here and ferrets are widely used.... 8)

Disturbing dens and nests of game animals is no longer permitted.
Ferrets and a terrier are still the best and most fun way to kill rats.
Even, letting a pet ferret nose around a building will scare rats and mice away.

That's true with a lot of calling. I two different hunters that have called in bobcats while turkey hunting.
