Nice! The 35 is a great cartridge. Still popular here.

That's a fine buck taken by a grand cartridge.

I had a 336 once and had a choice of calibre. 35 or 30/30.
Wish I had gone with the 35 now!

Congrats on your harvest.

I bet there is 3 or 4 30-30 for every 35 in Michigan but you know I think the 35 Remington is better suited to Michigan. We just don't really have long shots here. Maybe in south west corner..... but in Northern Michigan, and the UP not so much between forests and the rolling nature of the terrain.

Anyway just my opinion.

NIce!. Meat in the freezer. I wasn't able to get a deer with my Marlin 35 this last deer season. I just picked it up in July and was the first hunt with it.

I should put a scope on my 336 in .35 Remington due to my aging eyes. That is a fine cartridge in my experience, and apparently in your experience. A 2.5 to 4 power scope should work fine. 3 to 9 power would be more than I would need. What scope do you have on your rifle?
