On my 'list' (along with far too many others...)
Doctors for Sensible Gun Laws
"first do no harm" - gun control LAWS lead to far more deaths than 'easy access' ever could.

I had myself talked into one of those. Thought it might be a good start on my 4th dozen leverguns.
But I finally got my hands on one at the LGS and wasn't impressed with the price to quality ratio.
I'll just wait and pick up a used BLR some day at a lesser price.
Or....pay more attention to all the underused leverguns already in my safe.

But it won’t take 30 round AR mags! :P I remember seeing one of the BLR’s in 223 a quite awhile ago, was broke and couldn’t do layaway. I got to fondle a Long Ranger in 308, nice gun, seemed heavy tho. I do like how they stamped 223/5.56 NATO on the barrel. Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!

That's another (small) reason I don't like them.
It's either chambered for .223 Remington or 5.56x45 NATO. If 5.56 it can safely fire .223, but not the other way around. (we all know that)
But stamping it with both just adds to the misconception that the two calibers are interchangeable and/or identical.

Those Long Rangers are nice looking froma distance, and I'm always glad when a mfg produces something new for people to buy. I just would like one better priced about 40 to 50% less

You know, I've seen the can fire one but not the other spouted a bit. I have both .223 and 5.56 marked rifles. No problems with either in either.

They are made down the road and I have talked to people that work there. They do have other calibers in the works. I will buy one when they come out with one in 260 rem or 6.5 creedmore. Henrys are not cheap, you have to really want one. I filled out a Henry survey earlier this year and one of the questions was what other calibers do want to see in a Henry. So they know in order get older guys like me to pry open their wallets they need to come out with different calibers we don't already have in Leverguns.

Looks like the biggest difference was the methodology they used to test the pressure.....Looks like lawyers can see a difference, but modern weapons would not.
