Found this while researching a firearm in the used gun case of a local gun shop that I am mulling over.
Thought some of you would find this diverting on a cold winters night.

Mike's videos (on his YouTube channel under "Duelist54") are great. He is actually retiring from writing (a loss) but will continue to make videos.

Priming last is scary.
If the 22 blank gets canted not going it straight and binds it could set it off.
once resized i see no reason not to prime first. then powder and bullet

But!
Whacking that primer like that in a loaded round in a chamber.....err no!
It needs if anything (with the loaded round) pressing in.
Love Mikes videos but that's way to much percussion going on there!

If you wanted to try reloading the original rimfire cases you can buy rimfire priming compound here. http://22lrreloader.com/

IIRC, Mike spells his last name "Beliveau".

This isn't anything new, and you don't have to order a kit from France. Dixie Gun Works has sold these adapter cases that use blanks for decades, and still have them on their web site.
But I've tried them for a .44 RF gun I owned, and they're a PITA to use. Easy to seat blanks in the Dixie adapter cases, but once fired the blanks expand inside the case and are a pain to punch out. I ended up making a base with a hole in it to align the blank with, so I could punch them out easier. It worked better, but they were still fiddly, and not fun to use.
I think if a person really was adamant about shooting these old RF guns, they'd want about 50 of those adapters so they could shoot 50 and then go home and reload them. Shooting 6 or 12, and then trying to reload at the range just isn't an easy task. When I'm at the range I want to be shooting, not spending more time loading than shooting.
