GREAT thing for disabled veterans....

Post by AJMD429 »

A guy from my home state who got disabled himself, found the usual 'power-chair' great for shopping or running errands, but if you want to try to return to a semi-normal RURAL life, you need to deal with irregular terrain, mud, rain, and you want the ability to run a mower, tiller, and other implements those of us with all our limbs intact take for granted.

So he contacted this local engineering/building firm, and this is the result... 8)

Looks as if it would help get the disabled Vets back out where they could do what they want. Cool.

Last year or the year before at a farm show I saw a kid (12-14?) with a similar tracked vehicle but it was closer in size to a regular power chair. He said it got around just fine on the farm but he had to be careful on side slopes over 20% grade. He had raised some very good looking Dorsets, think he won. It's nice that folks are working on stuff like this for the disabled who don't want to be confined to pavement for the rest of their lives.
