A Conversation

Post by Pete44ru »

.

WIFE: I've filled a large bag with my old clothing, and I'd like to donate the clothes to charity.

HUSBAND: Why not just throw the clothing in the trash ?

WIFE: Because there's plenty of poor, starving people who can really use some clothes.

HUSBAND: Honey, anybody who fits in your clothes isn't starving.

(the husband is currently recovering from a head injury)

I seem to be remembering some noted MD's think that low-income people are taking in too many calories (and often bad calories, at that) and are much more likely to be overweight than people in the middle and upper classes.

How true that is, IDK.
