"Train Your Wife in 5 Easy Lessons..."

Post by Old No7 »

From the local gun club...

Something makes me think this course doesn't deliver on what it promises...

Good luck to you if you dare try it though!

I guess we'll know "who tried" from all the injury reports............

That's a 1950's television. You must be too young to remember Howdy Doody and the Lone Ranger. :D

I kind of think that PillHer would be willing to massage my feet anyway. Now, it would probably mean that I would have to reciprocate. She is still happy with me, and her Mother is still brewing potions and casting spells to break us up. PillHer is the only member of the family who has become a conservative. Her siblings are afraid of angering their mother. Their mother doesn't want them to have an independent will.

That's all I would have to do is to SHOW my wife that poster and there would be no peace in the house for a week. On the other hand, she lets me do whatever I want to do, but.....there are unwritten/unspoken/no gray area limits and I had better know them.

Oh what the hell, I'm gonna have some fun later and show her the poster anyway......if I don't check in later...say....by 10....call 1-800-SIX-DEAD.-----6

Haw!

Our family didn't get tv until about 1958 , I was gone in the AF by then. But you're right, I dont recall ever seeing those two programs, must have been after my time as a kid. :D

COSteve wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 9:33 am All kidding aside, I for one would hate to have a wife W/O a brain and independent will. Even after knowing her for 48 years, she's still a challenge to understand all the time. I wouldn't trade her for anyone, not a 19 yr old buxom bimbo, not a rich heiress, not anyone.
Same here.....but I plan to print off the brochure and tape it to the kitchen cabinet above the sink....

I thought saving the pic. as a desktop background on my wife's laptop just before she went out the door to work was funny.

She didn't ! :(

When I was a young kid, I used to catch some punishment when one of my parents caught me listening to radio shows after bedtime (with the volume on my bedside radio turned LOW).

Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, Gangbusters, The Shadow, & The Green Hornet were some of my favorites, long before my family got a TV in 1951.

I don't think I'd survive past number 1 or 2. Those boney little fists hurt! :D

My wife was getting ready for work this morning and she asks me, " Do these pants make me look too skinny?" Knowing full well that it was a trap and smiled, "Nope, looks perfect to me" and quite honestly she did. She gave me a big smile and off she went. :D

I still listen to old time radio, 3 hours every Sunday evening and I have all of Fibber McGee & Molly on tapes. I'm not even going to try to list the shows I listened to in the late 40s & 50s but I have fond memories of laying on a rug in a dark room with the only illumination being the soft glow on the wall from the tubes in an upright console radio. The radio shows really helped a child build a powerfull imiganation.

Just my opinion, but the happiest marriages I have seen are those where they work together. Both the Husband and Wife respect each other. The ones where one partner is afraid to make the other one upset are the ones where they end up splitting after infidelity. Respect can go a long way toward not wanting to upset the other, and it can go well with love. Fear and submission are terrible motivational glues for keeping a marriage together. Just my observations and opinion.

Our real relationship is like that, but we sure enjoy messing with each other.... I love posting pictures like that where she will see them, just to get a rise out of her.

Of course once when I was reassuring her gently that she had been a great Mom to our kids, as they went off to college, then she said "....but have I been a good Wife...??? I said "You've been wonderful....like an awesome vending machine.....put sperm in, and babies come out....!!!"

She threw a shoe at me for that one....

I know this much, the correct answer is not... "It ain't the clothing that makes you look fat......"
