I'm hoping when I go through that door I will see everything I didn't get a chance to see too, buddy.

Nice pics Pitchy....you and Jay live in some wonderful parts of the U.S. of A......of course I would not want to be there from Nov-April......sure would be something if you could go back a hundred or more years and see all of the activity going on.....

Yea, never could understand the deep woods and the multitude of bugs......even upstate Pa. is like that ........

Well, me and mom just got done watching Jays buddies on TV....North Woods Law or something like that......seems like everyone up there likes to drink and ride ATV's.----6

Hey buddy!
Sadly, I know more than one of those boys that "made it big".
They hung out around my area quite a bit for that show. Target rich environment. :D
I had a classmate and a neighbor on there that I know of. Probably more I missed. :D

Jay...does that mean you drink beer, ride ATV's, Jeeps, boats, and all that kinds of stuff and don't have permits? Seems like everyone they arrest does not have the proper creditionals. On tonight's show, a rabid fox bit some people and 5 other people were arrested for unregistered ATV's and a pick up truck all hillybillized to make it look like an atv.---Good show, we enjoy it.---6

Haha yeah. We rode 4 wheelers a LOT all through the late 80s and 90s. The registration was 12 bucks and you could go wherever you wanted. It was awesome. Then they got all "organized" with clubs and in the states pocket. Now the registration is 40 bucks and you can go where they tell you. Screw that. We use ours on our property for hunting and thats about it.
Better off using the Jeeps now.
All summer there is an endless stream of vehicles hauling 4 wheelers and UTVs through town headed up to ride the trails. People from everywhere.
No thanks.

Beautiful pics Lenn. It'd be a good place for a canoe.
Thanks Ron it would be fun to put a boat in ,could maybe see some of the trestle posts that way and where it ended on the other side.
Hard to get in there though no access would have to carry it through some brush.

Close to 3 inches of rain for the weekend! This keeps up I'm gonna have to build an arc... Can anyone tell me how big is a cubit?
IMG_7666.JPG
Lenn it looks like your exploring could turn up some real treasures- just gotta get there... Wait for the water to lower or wade/paddle?

Hey Jay I might have missed it, how is your buddy doing? Hope he is getting better!

Six did you get your new wheelbarrow out over the weekend?

Hey Gunny,

Still in bad shape. He is barely breathing on his own. Opens his eyes for a few seconds at a time. They are going to put his skull back together as the swelling is down. They need meds to control fever still.
The docs told his wife that he probably won't be the same person, which is the biggest blow, because he is one of those guys everybody likes.
It's humbling how many have turned out with fundraisers and help. Businesses and people alike.

Yea, the wheelbarrow invention worked OK.....had to pull it backwards then reach down with my hands to pull the grass away....---6

Jay I'm very sad to hear that. Reminds me of my Dad, how things went downhill... My sympathies to you and his family. I'll keep my fingers crossed he comes around.

Six it's time you get yourself a backhoe for your Kubota!

Gunny...would love to have a backhoe for the Kubota. If I was rich like Jay I'd get one. Probably 8 G's...---6

Jeep look nice! When I had my '88 it came with factory hard top, best top soft and I bought a bikini top for it. I never figured out how the soft top went on, tried to get instructions from best top but none of what they sent me was right!

Six I hear ya on the hoe- nothing for kubota is cheap. But they are great machines!

UPDATE- Dixie is acting like her old self! Getting on and off the couch all by herself again. A tremendous improvement!!

Found out last night a guy I used to work with passed. No notice about services... Via Condios Lou!

FW,
Thank you, my friend. We don't count him out. He is a big, tough guy, and has a great outlook on life.

Gunny,
Starting in 99, dual top was an option. I ordered mine with that option. That was the first time a soft top was available with full doors.
So glad to hear about Dixie! Happy dogs make happy people.

The stars are lined up good and proper....Dixie is smokin' along, Jay has 62 tops for his fleet of Jeeps and I was Match Winner today at the gunclub for handgun silhouette.......used the 629 with 210 grain H&G moulds from the fifties and 7.5 of 231.

The 10" Maximum was brought along as an extra.----Lets have a glass of milk! (About the only thing I can drink anymore)

Well done jack! I got the 1892 Marlin at least cycling with the heeled bullets, today. I have the overall length figured out now when NOE gets a package to me I will get diameter and powder charge figured out, and have another squirrel rifle. Woopee. Off to cut the grass and find the wobble in the super duty’s front end.
Gunny so glad to hear about Dixie.
Now we need to hear the same about Jay’s buddy in a couple months.

What's the hells the matter with you..."can I have it"....go buy one yourself you cheap shyt!!! :D

On a serious note, if you were disadvantaged is some way and you needed a good handgun, I'd give it to. That goes for the rest of you boys on this post. Funny thing you said that. Two months ago I was at the handgun match and the match director, who is also a buddy of mine shoots a 500 Smith &Wesson. This gun does not interest me but is very nice so when Mark showed it to me, I asked him, "Hey Mark, you and I are pals, so can I have your new Smith?" He responded, "Absolutely! After the match we will go down to Millers Sporting Goods and transfer it over." The scary thing was he looked really serious about it.

Mark only has one testicle due to testicular cancer when he was younger.......anyway, he was on the firing line today lining up on the 200 meter ram and I hollered to him, "hey Mark, nice set of nut (singular) you have there." He let the hammer down and could not stop laughing. Yea, we had some good fun today.

Gunny.....looks like Tuesday to test out the BAR....me and my BIL might head up for some work on our long range guns for the next match.---6

Hate to break it to y'all but we are disadvantaged! We work for a living, pay taxes, are gun owners, conservative right minded well balanced and all that puts us behind the 8 ball- until the shyt hits the fan and we are then at an advantage cuz we have the skills to survive!!

Sure wish you would shoot that BAR already! I cant wait to see how well it'll shoot!!

Dang! I've said it before......we all pretty much "like minded" here on the Garand post. While I do get to pal around with Tom...Fordwannabe...once in a while......would be nice to have us all including Pitchy, Old Savage, Turtledude, Griff, and a few others inside of a 20 mile circle.---6

I thought so!
I bet that was fun going across the lake.
Friend of mine has a couple A's, neither running heck one looks like it's been in a hedge row for the past 80 years!

Buddy of mine just texted me that he had a catastrophic failure on one of his ARs.

Upper, bolt & carrier are toast. So is the scope base. Knocked the mag release out of the lower. No blood shed fortunately!

Wow Gunny wonder what caused that.
Six i was counting on you to move close, two Azz holes are better than one.
The model A was cut down and converted to a snow mobile, the mail carriers used them alot but the model T was more popular lighter.
This one was a poor example of one.

Think we have diagnosed the cause, bolt not locked up causing the case failure which as we know ain't good!

Gunny,
What's the scoop on that AR? I figured if the bolt was not locked all the way, the gun would fail to fire. I know I've had quite a few of them with out of spec sizing.

Did someone eat a lot of gas? The Model A Uzi will fire out of battery and I've had several of them....

That's why Uzi went to the Model B.

BTW, make sure you wash your hands before eating.....d-I-r-t-y.... :D ---6

We think it wasnt locked in battery but enough to allow FP to detonate the primer. Since it was unlocked all the pressure went path of least resistance.
He was shooting water jugs, each and every round before worked fine then BOOM. The case seperated at the web and stuck in the chamber.

Cool rig, Pitchy!
Guy I know has restored T snowmobile for sale now. It's pretty cool.

Gunny,
Wasn't a high primer was it?
"Oh Bother!" said Pooh, as he chambered another round.
