Haha not too bad Gunny. Shoulder blades are a little stiff. Mostly cause of my choice of bars, but I don't care. It's worth it for a "cool" bike. :D

Pitchy,
Wish you'd of been with me old buddy! Pretty ride.

Wow! Pretty cool. Used to be "Get useless in Eustis" bumper stickers everywhere. Haven't seen one in quite a while now. Seemed like a great add to me! :D

Well, we had our annual Fourth of July parade today......probably a thousand people, cars, tractors, bands, fire engines, Civil War cannons, bikes, all kinds of shyt. The parade starts at the church a couple of houses down and continues to Thornbury Park where there is free food, games, picnics, fireworks, shooting of the cannon and other things people do at parks.

Sure was easy to tell the liberals from the conservatives.....the liberals would look at my Trump banner and turn their heads and the conservatives....more of them......would take pictures and wave.----6

Cool Six! Love the MB and M38A1. Good stuff!

Got out and shot some with oldest boy. Too hot out!
Shot his Galil Ace (nice rifle), my old M1A, his CZ75 compact and my Glock 19. Had a great time.

Folks, looks like Six might not be posting for awhile. I just saw in the news where he got in some trouble... "Six was 'wanted on a work release violation' at the time of the incident.". :o

Here's the story about Six-gone-bad... :(

P.S. wait a minute. . . . something smells fishy about that story. . . . 'work release...???' :?: . . . . Six done retired, and I don't think he'd let anyone make him go back to work. . . . must be someone else....! :D

Had me worried fer a minute.... :?

P.P.S. I love the way the police say "it can be dangerous to use a firearm for protection". . . well duhhhh... "It can be dangerous to jump out of a car and swim in a river in the dark," but guess what....if your car goes off a bridge into the water, that's what you do.....maybe would have been 'safer' to let the dude drive off with his kid....

Just got back inside from fixing fence.....always fun when your just finishing getting dressed and heading to work at 05:30 and you get a text from your neighbor that says "your goats are out..." :|
20190704_125711_HDR-1.jpg
So today I was off work, and it was 92 degrees this afternoon when I finally got around to fixing the fence, and the 'shade' was full of chainsaw-sawdust and nettles and multiflora rose all tangled in the downed tree. (...don't tell 44MagHunter that I was wearing short pants and $8.00 flip-flops while chainsawing...that way if I cut my leg [ . . . . . .again. . .. . . ] with the chainsaw, it won't ruin a pair of pants, or bloody up a nice pair of boots...)

The cool part is the tree missed the corner posts and the fence is high-tensile. Plus I use tension-measuring springs on every wire so they absorb shock better. Otherwise a big tree hitting a short-run of fence could pull an end or corner post out. A few busted plastic t-post insulators to replace and all back up and running. Back when I was a kid, we used rolls of 'field fencing' which would have been a huge project to fix.

Actually [tip] if you have cable-gates, use a couple of those springs so if anyone accidentally backs into the cable turning around or something, it won't pull out your posts or yank the hardware out of the tree. 🌳

Oh man...long day at the big house.......work release from the big house to the T Bar where I'm a janitor. Some cat pulled a gun on me and now I'm locked up for good...no internet.....just grease for the "back door" when my cellmate Jamal wants action.

Doc....I took have the high tensile fence out in the pasture......not around the house as it don't keep in the dogs....
Put up,the high tensile in '97 and it still it tight.

As far as your goats are concerned make sure no Arabs get ahold of them or their hind legs will be bowed outward for life.---6

Naw, if someone backs into my fence I want their vehicle damaged... the worse the better! If they hit any part of my fence, they're trespassing... And when thy come to the door to complain, I can get their insurance info for filing MY claim about the damage to my fences... and charge whatever I fancy...

We very seldom can catch or identify them, so we can't use insurance claims to mess with them, but I can assure you that the cable on springs is still capable of causing quite a bit of damage.... the ratio of damage-to-vehicle versus damage-to-gate is much higher when it is on springs though... :D

A big farm truck or something wouldn't get much damage, but the farmer down the road once had a low-slung yuppie-mobile slide under the cable until it hit the windshield....ouch....! He showed me a photo and the hood was all scraped up, a windshield wiper stub busted off, and the windshield cracked....

Not sure what that kind of vehicle was a half-mile off paved roads down in the river-bottoms for, but they walked to his house after getting stuck on their way out, and he pulled them out. They told him they were just looking for a place to fish....

Friends family farm sat on a sharp bend in the road. Of course way too many people driving too fast and multiple times a driver would not make the turn and wind up in the lawn. So the boys decided to move some big rocks to the edge of the lawn. About 3 days later about 2 am BANG! Car horn blaring they go out to find some young kid in a wrecked little shyt box . PD shows up and write the kid a couple tickets. Seems this kid had a heavy foot and quite a few speeding tickets.

Well...well......people enjoyed the festivities......after the 1/2 hour parade it was a regular day for me of which most of it was in the house dues to excessive heat and humidity......Old Savage went to a rodeo? Ahhhh....he was probably there to check out the ladies in their tight jeans.......

Gunny......a guy down the road about 8 miles had the same problem with people running into his yard around a sharp bend..... a brick wall of some sort was built and somebody got kilt hitting it...sued the shyt out of him.

Tom...you like horses? That's all they do is eat, shyt, and cost you money.....I'd have three times the amount of Winchesters and Colts if mom did not have her "investment" in a huge pile of horse shyt out back....the horses are gone, the money is gone and there's nothing to show for it. We only have one left and it's pushing 40 y.o.

Well guys, it's official.....I'm old.......turned 65 today .......and I don't like it.-----6 from 7/05/54

Happy Six Day!! Today is also a buddy's birthday, 50. That means my 50th is only 3 months away.

Around here we have all the show horses and their horse-hole owners. They all wear their riding pants and knee high boots stinking like horse pizz- makes my stomach turn! I've got no use for these horse-holes!

Happy Birthday Jack. Whatcha gonna give me for your Birthday???
Gunny never liked “horse people” most don’t know shyt from shingles about horses. They just want to impress other people. Now cowboys are altogether different. They depend on a horse and treat them better than they treat themselves. Lost mine in the divorce only thing I miss from that disaster.
Yeah Jack my money too. We did thorobred rescue league. Horse people find out that ol race horse can’t make any money anymore and neglect the stuff out of them. We got a HORSE that weighed 266 pounds. At that time I weighed more than the horse. Turned out to be a dam fine animal just mistreated and starved.we got her back but every time I looked at that horse my blood would boil.

Thanks Tom.......did ya ever notice some of the horses the Amish use to pull their buggies with? Most are thoroughbreds......wife tells me they usually raise them are are not washed up racers.......

I still say any of them are worthless unless you have a use for them. Ole Stonewall has been having a rough time in the heat.got to spray him down with cold water a couple of times a day...plus run the hose a half hour or more to keep his 100 gallon water barrel clean and cool........he's like a kid out there...popping his head in and out of the water.

Well...bunking the big bore handgun match tomorrow.....even though we have a air conditioned range house, most of the time is spent on the line and I ain't dealing with 90+ temps and 90% humidity.----6

Well Six, sorry for the non report. Been through quite a few out here in 43.years. This one lasted about 10 sec. Chandelier was swinging, TV was rocking. I was sitting here at earthquake analysis central for both the big ones 6.4 and 7.1. They were 90 mikes away. I said to Pat seems like about a 4.5. 5.5 sloshed water out of the pool years ago. Not much to do but wait them out then turn on the TV to see what Cal Tech has to say. Here is a picture of the San Andeas fault 12 mikes from here on the freeway. The big one that dropped the freeway over passes about 40 miles from here was the most destructive.

Here is a picture of that freeway collapse. That is a police motorcycle laying on the slab. This has all been rebuilt.

OS.....people who never experience these things find them exciting......we had one about 7-8 years ago and the only reason I felt it was I was sitting at the desk at work BS en with the boys in the AC and we felt our legs vibrating. Had I been doing my job out in the warehouse I never would have felt it. If I remember correctly it was a monster 4 point something with an epicenter two hundred miles away.

Is that a dead guy under the tarp in the pic of the freeway collapse? I remember that quake in the news...sometime in the nineties.......

I guess there's things you just can't do out there....like how I have my antique bullet collection all set up on glass shelves. :D

Must be hell on swimming pools and other concrete structures and certainly not good if your on the overpass on a motorcycle.---6

Hotter and steamier than a whore on Saturday night around here......----6

The rebuild is named after Motor Patrolman Clarence Wayne Dean who was headed to Los Angeles when that freeway collapsed.

And the one this weekend had water sloshing out of pools here and another 50 miles away, pretty wide spread activity.

OS....I can relate to three of those cars....when I was a kid, my uncle had a car like that green one....I thought it was the coolest thing on earth.....next picture.....I had two of those Trans Ams....the car with the hood up......it's how I spent two weeks in the hospital......hit a tree head on at 65 ....24 y.o......lots of PTSD from that...still have it...(the ptsd)......the blue Nova in the upper left....had a '63..same color but I painted it orange......

Looks nice there....very clear.......unlike the miserable weather we are having.....I'm in the AC, unable to do much of anything....

Man! You get to have allllll the fun. :D ---6

I lived thru a number of those in the 40 years I lived in CA... The most telling was the Newport quake in the '80s... abed in the early am, (waterbed)... woke up me and wife, and we both rolled around a bit... both of us said, "golly, the earth moved and we weren't even having sex!" I'd rather have the sex and no earth movement, thank you very much... God I love Texas! At least tornadoes give you SOME warning!

Well I'm going to go look at that Winchester this week.
Took my 28 ga to the ZZ BIRD match today... let's just say from now on I'm going to shoot a 12! But I had fun!!

On the way home on the interstate everything STOPS! 12 miles of rubber necking. Why ? A group of bikers pulled off on the shoulder turned the highway into a parking lot!
