Latest obsession...

Post by 2ndovc »

I've had a pile of .357 Magnums over the years but the only one's I'd hung on to were a S&W Model 66 w/ a 2 1/2" barrel and a Rossi 92. the 66 was lost in the "Purge" and ended up replacing it with a really great Ruger Speed Six. That sixgun and some recent postings of Skeeter Skelton articles has renewed an interest in the .357 Mag.
I have an S&W 327 TRR8 on the way and figured it was going to need a lever action counterpart. I came across this new Marlin the other day and think I'm going to really need one. :D

Paired up with the new suppressor that's in a holding pattern waiting for Gov. approval, it should make a great backyard shooter.

The TRR8 should be here any day. I'll put up some actual pictures as soon as it gets here,

The only way to make a smith and wesson sixgun more better is to make it shoot 7 or even eight !

From what I've read, they can only be adjusted by S&W.

Waiting on delivery info. Looking forward to this one.

A nut wrench is available but I’ve not seen where anyone has done gap adjustment yet.
Kind regards,

They both came in today. Should be able to pick them up tomorrow afternoon. :D

Can't wait to get to the range, but it will have to be Tuesday. I have a meeting on Columbus Monday but it should be a good one.

I'll get some pictures up as soon as I have them in my hot little hands. :D :D

That looks like a nice pairing. A .357 levergun with a suppressor should be nice for any deer in the woods. It should allow you to still hear after the shot. How many decibels does the suppressor you have chosen bring the noise down to?
