Any of y'all goin' out to the Miakka Misfits cowboy action practice match 8/19? I am. I hear it's a dress casual day. I'm still going to be mindful of the potential for lead splatter off the steel targets.

It's at the Manatee Gun Club where we had the levergun meetup several years ago. On Hwy 64 east of Bradenton.

Well, it was hot & humid. I sure seemed to sweat a lot, not that it mattered a bunch. One of the shooters let me borrow guns and use his ammo. .45s in the pistol and .44-40 in the pistol... BP for a propellant! Not much breeze... so the stages were kinda smokey. Several times it was like drivin' in the fog... point and hope you stay on the road! Yes, I had fun!

Yeah, it's been hot and nasty here for weeks now. I'm looking forward to October.

I think I've been to that range. Met Rusty there as I recall. It was a long drive for me from the Orlando/Sanford area.
... I love poetry, long walks on the beach, and poking dead things with a stick.
