A .440" ball on reduced charge is fine on squirrel.

( Is that an "assault squirrel'" ? ? ? )

Great pictures -- as always Nath -- I love to see the beautiful woods and bountiful game you have over there.

I need to get after some squirrels.

So good to see you and Jess and that sweet lookin' smoke pole. Must be a good one to take that many squirrels. I need to get out in the woods instead of just shooting here in the yard.

Way to get after them Nath! Season opens the first of Sept here but Now all my boys have grown and gone Its hard to justify cooking one. My wife rolls her nose up at the idea of eating one, guess I forgot to ask about that in the interview LOL.
What kind of range do you get with the smooth bore and what shot size. I know British shot runs smaller than ours.

Thanks y'all.
Ed, yes, I forgot loads of questions at the interview, must of been distracted by something

With shot on squirrel it goes around 25 yards. I was using 7narfs yesterday.
With a ball I would not want to be a rabbit under 50yards.

Washington State doesn't have a squirrel season.
I'd gladly trade black-tail deer for a great population of squirrel and generous season. (A darn sight easier to carry out the woods, too)

our season here in my neck of the woods is the first of october through the end of february with a very liberal bag limit.....

but deer hunters these days are wont to climb trees and tend to take themselves way too seriously and more often than not resent the presence of squirrel hunters.....
