Wow. Glad it didn't get lost, bud. Keep me posted on how you like that tire. Mine is good now, but I will need one next year maybe.

I blame u.p.s and....

cabelas, grafs, selway armory, surplus ammo, palmetto state armory, outdoor limited, ventura, targetsportsusa, thesportsman'sguide, thesportsman'soutdoorsuperstore, midway and on and on for loose cartridges in the shipping box......

seem like there is always at least one cartridge box burst and spilled with every shipment and I order a lot of ammo.....

The only packages I've got in that shape from UPS were because the sender did a poor packaging job.

USPS won't even deliver. I have the laziest carrier in the world

Any more UPS is my last choice, Fedex is by far better.
Of coarse when receiving from someone i have no choice.

I had an AR upper that I ordered go missing while in UPS control. After a bit of sleuthing I found it 2 states away. Now there was nothing i could do to get it other than call Cabelas customer service. They actually tracked it down giving me updates and sent a replacement overnight.

My current UPS driver is a cowboy shooter so he is in the KNOW and he calls me when he has stuff for me on the truck.

Here it's just the opposite. I got a handgun delivered by FedEx... just left on the bench in the garage. It required a signature... and since there were 3 of us home that day... UPS has standing orders to place packages in one of at least 3 pickups in the driveway... but, they generally ring the bell and hand deliver!

If packages are properly prepared and packed correctly, they seldom get damaged in transit. Even with the rough handling they all seem to get.

Our USPS carrier refuses to get out of the vehicle. Scared of non-existent hoards of ravaging dogs....

FedEx driver is different every.single.time...

UPS is the same driver so he knows where to leave stuff. I used to have the phone number of the prior one so I could meet him for important packages and save him an 8-mile round trip down a dead end road

I n fairness to all shippers i agree that packing properly is key and as with any business there are good employees and bad.
I`m only going on the percentages of damaged items from the carriers that come here.

It's the opposite here. UPS has it all over FedEx.

I've got two UPS drivers, one in AZ & one in MT; both are really great guys and go out of their way to make sure my packages are delivered properly. Guess I've just been lucky, but I sure have no complaints. :D

Last time I sent a firearm (barrel and receiver) it was bubble-wrapped and inside a 30" chunk of 4" PVC pipe that fit in one of those triangular boxes. Sure enough the box was crushed and torn, but the PVC is nearly indestructible.
